Our Story
Seed Harvest Christian Center was officially founded on January 1, 2023 at the home of Sheral & Brittany Raines. Sheral had previously pastored the Lillington First Missionary Baptist Church and felt the call of God to plant a church in the Spring Lake area. After much prayer, he tendered his resignation at LFMBC after a combined 23 years of membership and ministry and endeavored to implement the Lord’s vision. SHCC, the Birthplace as it is affectionately called, began with 10 adult members: Sheral & Brittany Raines, Virginia Smith, Sylvia Armstrong, Velma Speed, Veltrina Ray, Monica Bass, Shakina Campbell, Diamond Jacobs, and Copelia Madzivanyika; 6 children: Nadia, Layla, and Nathan Raines, Joshua Madzivanyika, and Angel and Aiden Gardner, and several others pledging periodic physical and financial support.
Our Pastor
Sheral Raines holds a B.S. in Social Sciences with a minor in Religion & Christian Ministries (Campbell University), a Master of School Administration (Campbell University), a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Counseling (Campbell University) and expects to graduate with a Doctor of Ministry with a concentration in Biblical Counseling from the Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2023. He was licensed to preach the gospel in 2004, ordained by the New Hope Missionary Baptist Association in 2007 and the Victory Tabernacle Fellowship in 2022. He works professionally as an educator and currently serves as an Assistant Principal.

Lady Raines serves as a trustee and also as our church musician. Her gift of music blesses our church and enables our Spirit-filled worship. |
Minister Sylvia Armstrong Serves as our Administrator and is the most immediate link between the community and our different ministries. She’s the epitome of customer service and will surely leave you with a smile. She also leads our Intercessory Prayer Ministry; Take it to the Throne Tuesdays |
Monica Bass is one of our trustees and she also leads our media team. She’s the often unseen face behind the camera but she’s not afraid to make her presence known!
Minister Kacheckia Dewitt serves as our Youth Director and supervises Children’s Discipleship and Teen Discipleship.
Deacon Maurice Dewitt serves as the leader of our Men’s Ministry & Support Group; The Brotherhood.
Trustee Diamond Jacobs serves as the Coordinator for Teen Discipleship.
Mother Martha King leads our hospitality ministry and coordinates our greeters and ushers.
Evangelist Copelia Madzivanyika is a preacher and songbird. Whether she’s singing a melodious tune or instructing in the Word of God, she’s always a blessing when she’s behind the mic. She also leads our Women’s Ministry & Support Group; The Sista Circle.
Darryl Murchison Jr. is our Worship Leader and is one of the heartbeats of our ministry. Worship is often the pulse of ministry and if you aren’t moved by his ministry you’ll definitely need to check your pulse!
Veltrina Ray serves as the Coordinator for Children’s Discipleship.
Deaconess Velma Speed is one of the leaders of our spiritual life staff and also is the coordinator of our pastoral care ministry. Her wisdom and sage advice makes her a valuable asset to our ministry and to your family!
Mother Rachell Thomas serves as our Culinary Coordinator.
